Job Summary:
We are seeking staff members to join our survey field crews in Wytheville. The ideal candidate(s) will be able to work long hours with the potential for a lot of overtime, should be open to travel out of town.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid drivers license in good standing with a minimum of 3 years licensed driving experience
- Ability to work long hours and potential for overtime
- Willingness to travel out of town
- Demonstrated solid work history
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as heavy lifting and walking over rough terrain
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting surveys in various locations
- Follow directions from the survey team leader
- Work long hours and potentially overtime as needed
- Travel out of town for survey assignments
- Maintain equipment and vehicles used in the field survey operations
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in fieldwork or related outdoor activities
- Basic knowledge of survey methods and equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to different work environments and conditions
Estimated Base Pay Range: $17 - $21 per hour
How We Determine Pay: Final compensation within this range is determined in good faith and is based on objective factors. These include the candidate’s specialized skills, level of experience, geographic location, and specific educational background or certifications.
Additional Compensation: This position will be eligible for 401(k) matching and ownership through our ESOP and may also be eligible for incentive pay subject to company performance and performance-based raises.
