The Role
Guest Center staff are the first point of contact for guests and play a critical role in delivering a welcoming, efficient, professional experience, and exceptional service. They support both tour and retail operations while ensuring accurate transactions and guest communication.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position helps supervise guest center staff.
Your Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in all guests in a warm, friendly, professional manner.
- Respond to online and phone reservations in booking system and record in POS system.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Process payments accurately using point-of-sale systems.
- Manage retail inventory, merchandising, and sales including re-stocking point of sale
- Ordering of inventory and supplies including labeling products with barcodes as needed
- Support concessions operations and ensure cleanliness and readiness of the welcome area.
- Communicate guest needs/ accessibility requests to management, and Tour Supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, reservations, and guest information.
- Ensure the Guest Center remains organized, welcoming, and guest-ready at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth guest flow and operational consistency.
- Verify accurate cash management, daily reconciliation, and deposit processes are correct.
- Screen potential employment candidates
- Scheduling of guest center staff in coordination with Guest Service Manager
- Perform other duties assigned by management
- Respond to questions and concerns to other associates or management in secure chat groups
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a diverse group of guests.
- Good customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- TWIC Card a plus
- First Aid & CPR training in the last 2 years also a plus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass a background investigation.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Experience and Education Required
- Experience working in a retail environment.
- Experience with front desk operations and processes is advantageous
- Experience with POS systems preferred.
- Fareharbor and Quickbooks POS knowledge is a plus
- Will train for specific skills as needed.
Work Environment
- This is an on site position that requires working primarily in an office environment.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:
- Requires long periods of sitting in front of a computer.
- Requires sitting and standing throughout the work day.
- Must be able to move equipment up to 50 pounds on wheels
- Must be able to move boxes up to 25 pounds.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.50 per hour
