MJC Land Development is actively looking for Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic. We are based in West Palm Beach, FL. MJC is a family owned and operated business that self performs clearing & grubbing, excavation, underground utilities and roadwork. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues IN THE FIELD.
- Repairs and overhauls variety of equipment including light and heavy-duty trucks, graders, rollers, dozers and related equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance and inspections to determine need for repairs
- Performs more difficult and complex maintenance and repair tasks such as replacement of engines, transmission and differential gears; replaces motor repairs
- Disassembles units, repairs or replaces parts, and reassembles units in the cooling, drive, brake, electrical, steering, heating, and air conditioning, hydraulic and air systems.
- Perform engine repairs, rebuilds and components R&R.
- Field work, as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Considerable experience (5 years) in the heavy and mechanical equipment repair, with emphasis on diesel powered and complex heavy-duty equipment with hydraulics.
- Knowledge of parts and equipment is a must.
- All successful mechanics should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent GED.
- Valid driver’s license with a fairly clean driving record
- CDL is preferred but not required

Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour
