Summary
As a Safety Coordinator, you will be instrumental in promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and EPA standards. Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will leverage your core skills in occupational health and training & development to implement effective safety programs. Your premium skills in first aid and workers' compensation law will be vital in managing workplace incidents. Additionally, your proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant skills in report writing and root cause analysis will aid in tracking safety metrics and enhancing overall safety performance within the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compile driver, vehicle and trailer information, generate excel spreadsheets documenting performance, compliance and other general information for reporting to executive staff, insurance and governmental contacts.
- Monitor Electronic Log compliance and sort and maintain any paper logs. Monitor FMCSA compliance for the company.
- Maintain driver, vehicle and trailer records in McLeod, including the accident registry, OS&D log and DOT testing.
- Support Human Resources and Recruiting by assisting in the maintenance of employee records.
- Support the department in maintaining compliance with state and federal EPA, OSHA and ISO programs.
- Insurance claims knowledge
Communicates with Law Enforcement and other U.S. and State agencies, as well as foreign governmental agencies to address issues arising from violations, regulatory registration
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational health standards
- Experience in training and development related to EHS practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and laws
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and effective report writing
- Understanding of EPA regulations related to safety and environmental compliance
