We are seeking a bilingual (fluent in both Spanish and English) legal assistant to join our team. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position with working hours from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing support to our general practice law firm, particularly in our Immigration Law department.
Pay Range: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting attorneys with client intake, consultations, and immigration case preparation.
- Preparing, organizing, and processing immigration applications and supporting documentation.
- Communicating professionally with clients to request documents, provide case updates, and schedule appointments.
- Maintaining accurate client files and updating the firm's case management systems.
- Monitoring case deadlines and assisting in keeping matters on track.
- Performing general administrative and legal support duties as needed.
Qualifications: Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. Previous experience handling immigration matters in a law firm is required.
