Production Supervisor – Steel Reel Manufacturing

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily operations for our new product line. This position is well suited for an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys working on the production floor, developing employees, and improving processes. The Production Supervisor will oversee production, personnel, materials, equipment, and order fulfillment while maintaining a safe, efficient, and quality-focused operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
- Supervise, train, and develop production employees.
- Assign work, establish priorities, and monitor performance.
- Learn and support key manufacturing processes, including plate rolling, press brake operation, and robotic welding.
- Coordinate production schedules, materials, inventory, shipping, and workflow.
- Troubleshoot production and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient facility.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Support hiring, onboarding, continuous improvement, and future capacity planning.
- Communicate order and delivery status with customers and internal teams as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Manufacturing supervision, team lead, or production management experience.
- Experience in metal fabrication or a related manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and production specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a hands-on production environment.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and production documentation.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly.
Preferred
- Experience with rolling, forming, welding, or robotic welding.
- Background in steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
- Forklift and material-handling experience.
- Experience helping launch or grow a manufacturing operation.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous-improvement experience.
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
