Job Overview:
The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a secure and safe environment
- Enforce rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of individuals and property
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activities
- Provide assistance and support to customers, employees, and visitors as needed
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Conducts regular walk-throughs and security inspections for assigned area.
- Checking employees’ bags and other items as they enter and using the portable metal detector to wand employees before exiting the building and checking in/out guests
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a security officer or similar role preferred.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively
- Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to write daily activity reports
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with confidential and classified information.
- Must be 21 and have or be able to obtain a PILB card.
- Those with military or law enforcement background encouraged to apply.
- Law enforcement experience or training is preferred but not required

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
