Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician with advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise. This role requires hands-on repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, SCR/DPF, and A/C systems. This is a full-time, senior-level position with on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications – Senior Heavy Equipment Field Technician / Diesel Technician
Required:
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment
- Experieince troubleshooting diesel engines and related systems
- Proficiency with hydraulic systems, electrical troubleshooting, SCR/DPF systems, and A/C systems
- 5 years experience working on heavy equipment or diesel engines
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to work in remote locations, sometimes without communication access
- Ability to provide and maintain your own tools prior to employment
- Fluent in English
- Pass pre-employment and random drug testing
Preferred:
- Experience with on-call work and responding to after-hours service requests
- Previous experience working in varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Experience completing detailed daily work reports
Responsibilities – Senior Heavy Equipment Field Technician / Diesel Technician
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment
- Perform full-spectrum equipment repairs; parts replacement only when necessary
- Respond to after-hours service calls and on-call requests
- Complete daily reports documenting job tasks, materials used, and other relevant details
- Work efficiently in remote locations, confined spaces, and challenging weather conditions
- Maintain professional, high-quality service standards for every job
