Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. As an RBT, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based behavioral therapy to children and individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder. Duties
- Implement individualized ABA therapy protocols under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene, to support independence and self-care.
- Collect accurate behavioral data during sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans.
- Support clients with communication development using evidence-based strategies tailored to their needs.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, client records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other team members to ensure consistency across environments and optimize client outcomes.
- Engage in ongoing training on ethical standards, behavior management techniques, and implementation of ABA therapy protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in special education or behavioral health is preferred.
- Valid RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Or willingness to obtain
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to collect and analyze behavioral data accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare privacy standards such as HIPAA.
- Previous experience in home-based behavioral therapy or school settings is a plus.
- Demonstrated professionalism and adherence to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
