Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation and control functions in industrial settings.
- Conduct inspections of electrical components for safety and compliance with NEC standards; perform repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, framing carpentry tasks, and general handyman duties to ensure seamless integration of electrical work.
- Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues; perform voltage testing on high voltage and low voltage circuits.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, shift logs, and compliance records.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized in the industry.
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician working on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC standards, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical code compliance.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, high voltage circuits, PLCs, and schematics troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills and saws; testing devices like ohmmeters.
- Ability to perform frame carpentry tasks and general handyman duties related to electrical installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in diagnosing electrical issues quickly and accurately.
