Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our multifamily housing team. In this vital role, you will support the property management team in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional resident experiences, and maintaining property standards. Duties
- Assist in leasing activities, including property tours, tenant screening, and lease signing, with a focus on upselling available units and amenities.
- Support rent collection processes, including data entry into Yardi or OneSite property management systems, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Coordinate property maintenance requests by liaising with vendors and maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate records through filing, data entry, and managing legal documents related to tenant agreements, contracts, and compliance reports.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident inquiries via phone or in person, ensuring positive relationships are built and maintained.
- Support compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant laws, and other legal administrative requirements through diligent record keeping and reporting.
- Assist with property inspections, lease renewals, marketing efforts, and conflict management to foster a harmonious community environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in real estate administration or property management support roles; experience with multifamily housing preferred.
- Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in property management software such as MRI; knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Landlord-Tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail; office experience is essential.
- Skills in negotiation, contracts management, facilities management, and upselling amenities or services to residents.
