Immediate open position(s) available for a Project Engineer with Peninsula Improvement Corp., d/b/a Peninsula Engineering, a Barron Collier Company. Position requires a minimum of a BS Degree in Engineering, E.I. Certification or ability to obtain it, and is open to experience levels ranging from recent graduate to 4+ years. The Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting Project Managers with the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, earthwork analysis and utility and drainage design for a variety of residential and commercial land development projects, and should be versed in applicable design and scheduling software. In addition, the Project Engineer will be required to prepare and compile Engineering Reports, Agency submittal applications and supporting documents, as well as research and become familiar with municipal and agency code and regulations. The Project Engineer will be expected to coordinate with Project Managers, Clients, office staff, agency personnel and contractors to implement project objectives and proactively solve problems, as well as provide periodic onsite observation of the Firm’s projects to confirm compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards. Must be skilled in technical writing and able to ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects, and between all other disciplines and project participants.
