Forge Industrial Staffing in Fort Wayne is currently seeking an Manual Advanced Machinist for an opening with a manufacturing company located in Fort Wayne, IN (46808). The ideal candidate is a skilled machinist with strong troubleshooting abilities, experience operating precision machining equipment, and the flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, as occasional driving may be required.
Requirements of Manual Advanced Machinist
- Minimum 5 years of advanced machining experience required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Ability to occasionally drive company vehicles or travel locally as needed
- Strong experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and precision measuring instruments
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Responsibilities of Manual Advanced Machinist
- Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Participate in an on-call rotation every other week
- Set up and operate advanced machining equipment to manufacture precision components
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders
- Perform equipment adjustments, troubleshooting, and minor repairs as needed
- Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures
- Occasionally drive to support operational or business needs as required
