Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components according to menu specifications and recipes
- Cook and plate dishes efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas throughout shifts
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and excellent customer experience
Requirements
- Prior experience in a prep cooking or line cooking is highly desirable
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Experience with menu planning and catering is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
