Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and support literacy, math, and physical development.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth, positive behavior management, and child welfare.
- Deliver age-appropriate lessons focused on childhood development instruction.
- Manage classroom activities efficiently, ensuring safety and adherence to mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers through regular communication about student progress, behavior management strategies, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments, standardized testing results, lesson plans, and attendance logs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare or preschool environments.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and childhood development principles.
- Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is preferred.
- Familiarity with early childhood education standards
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners including those in special education or requiring early intervention services.
- Certification or training related to childhood development instruction or early childhood education is advantageous.
