Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools promptly after use.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste according to sanitation standards.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to manual handling and kitchen equipment operation.
- Assist in food handling and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with food safety management standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen setting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large quantities of dishes or supplies.
