Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Social Services Director and lead the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive social services programs that empower individuals with developmental disabilities and underserved communities. In this vital role, you will oversee staff supervision, foster meaningful relationships with clients and community partners, and ensure the delivery of high-quality behavioral health and social work services. Your leadership will drive program excellence, promote inclusive practices, and support the well-being of diverse populations through innovative solutions and compassionate management.
Duties
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate social services programs tailored to individuals with disabilities and underserved communities
- Supervise staff members, including social workers, behavioral health specialists, and program coordinators, ensuring effective team management and professional growth
- Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and oversee resource allocation to maximize impact and sustainability
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies to facilitate collaborative service delivery
- Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation for all programs and services
- Lead behavioral health initiatives by designing interventions that address client needs holistically
- Conduct staff training on best practices in social work, disability support, cultural competence, and trauma-informed care
Skills
- Extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and disabilities in general
- Proven ability in relationship management across diverse stakeholder groups
- Strong administrative skills with experience managing budgets, reports, and compliance documentation
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in managing multidisciplinary teams within social services or related fields
- Expertise in program development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement strategies
- Skilled in team management with a focus on staff supervision and professional development
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices and social work principles applied to underserved populations
- Ability to coordinate technical projects or programs while supervising their execution effectively
- Experience working with underserved communities from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration among team members, clients, families, and community partners
