RCM Director
Outpatient medical practice seeking an experienced RCM Director to oversee and optimize all aspects of the revenue cycle. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive specialty billing knowledge, and hands‑on experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW). The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of Specialist Billing Management experience in a high‑volume practice setting.

The RCM Director is responsible for leading the RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) Department and ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all billing and collections activities. This role supports a specialty outpatient setting and requires strong familiarity with payer requirements, coding, denial management, and workflow optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Revenue Cycle Management
- Oversee full revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, AR management, and appeals.
- Ensure accurate coding using CPT, ICD‑10, and specialty-specific modifiers.
- Monitor payer updates, reimbursement changes, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain clean-claim benchmarks and timely filing standards.
- Identify and resolve revenue leakage through process improvements.
Leadership & Staff Oversight
- Supervise billing personnel including billers, posters, and authorization staff.
- Provide training, mentoring, and workflow guidance.
- Establish performance metrics and maintain accountability.
- Create and update SOPs for billing operations.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare AR aging, collections, denial trends, and productivity reports.
- Analyze revenue cycle KPIs and present findings to leadership.
- Recommend system or workflow improvements based on data trends.
Systems & Technology
- Manage billing operations in eClinicalWorks (eCW).
- Oversee system configuration, template optimization, and troubleshooting.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with federal/state billing regulations and payer guidelines.
- Maintain HIPAA standards and protect patient information.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and quality.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Specialist RCM Management experience (orthopedics preferred but not required).
- Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, reimbursement policies, and AR workflows.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to interpret financial reports and identify trends.
