Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction and Concrete Superintendent to oversee various construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction management principles. This role requires expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Manage all phases of construction/concrete projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Microsoft Office for project tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Oversee project scheduling and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and enforce quality control standards.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards on-site.
- Provide guidance and supervision to project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents for effective project execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field. Minimum of 5 to 10 years in concrete and/or general construction, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, mix designs, and curing methods.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Bluebeam.
- Experience using grade rod and surveying tools.
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on team collaboration.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices in the construction industry.
- Previous experience on construction sites is REQUIRED.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
