Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Generator Installer to join our team. You will manage the end-to-end installation of manual and automatic standby generators, transfer switches, and associated electrical wiring for homes and businesses. The ideal candidate possesses a strong electrical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and an unwavering commitment to safety protocols.
Duties
- Installation: Execute electrical wiring plans to install standby power systems, transfer switches, and safety/distribution components (e.g., circuit-breaker panels).
- System testing: Connect electrical circuits, assemble conduits, and perform start-up and load-bank testing to ensure maximum efficiency and output.
- Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and repair issues with existing generators, transfer switches, and related mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal electrical codes and legal regulations.
- Customer service: Maintain a clean, organized work environment and provide excellent communication to clients regarding the operation and maintenance of their new systems
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience as an electrician or generator installer (Generac certification/experience is highly preferred).
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and use hand tools/voltmeters.
- Physical ability: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Licensure: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a trade or technical school is a plus.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
