Role Overview
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage all aspects of accounts receivable to ensure the department runs in a timely and effective manner. This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a proactive approach to resolving payment issues and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with our customers
- Research and resolve account payment discrepancies
- Enter, review, balance, and post cash receipts to customer accounts
- Resolve customer payment issues through customer portals
- Receive and respond to incoming phone calls and emails in a timely manner
- Generate and email weekly customer statements to clients
- Process customer credit card payments
- Perform bank deposits using check scanner
- Provide support for additional projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of accounts receivable experience, or a related degree in Accounting/Finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) — required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
- Comfortable interacting with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn and contribute
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and/or SalesPad
- Familiarity with customer payment portals or ERP systems
- Experience or comfort using AI and/or AI agents to improve workflow
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
