Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Painter to join our team for an immediate project in,. Duties
- Prepare surfaces meticulously through cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and surface repairs to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
- Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying and conventional spray techniques), and other hand tools with precision.
- Perform structural painting on various surfaces such as walls, ceilings, beams, and fixtures in commercial settings.
- Use ladders safely and effectively to access high or hard-to-reach areas while following all safety regulations.
- Conduct surface testing for proper coating thickness and visual color comparison to achieve consistent finishes.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and ensuring tools are well-maintained for optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols diligently by wearing respiratory protection, harnesses, gloves, and other personal protective equipment at all times.
- Assist with renovation tasks such as fixture installation, trim carpentry, framing, masonry work, or handyman duties as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial painting projects with a strong understanding of construction site procedures.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with various painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (airless and conventional), and surface preparation methods.
- Knowledge of color theory for accurate color matching and visual consistency across projects.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently while adhering to safety regulations.
- Experience working on renovation or remodeling projects in commercial or industrial environments is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coating coverage, and project estimations.
- Skilled in caulking, trim carpentry, plastering, masonry work, fixture installation, framing carpentry, maintenance tasks, and general handyman functions is a plus.
