Position: Safety Director
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Safety Director to oversee Dobco’s safety program across multiple active job sites. OSHA 500 certification (Construction) is strongly preferred; OSHA 510 certification will also be considered. This individual will be responsible for shaping, implementing, and monitoring policies and practices that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Safety Director will travel regularly to project sites to conduct inspections, provide training, and partner with teams to strengthen Dobco’s culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and oversight of Dobco’s health and safety program across all projects.
- Conduct frequent site visits to ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and client requirements.
- Investigate incidents, prepare documentation, and implement corrective actions.
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify risks and implement proactive safety measures.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting for regulatory agencies and clients.
- Provide leadership on safety best practices and promote a strong safety culture organization-wide.
- Stay informed on evolving safety regulations, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
- Contribute to preconstruction planning by advising on safety requirements and logistics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered.
- Minimum of 7 years’ construction safety experience.
- OSHA 500 certification (Construction Outreach Trainer) strongly preferred; OSHA 510 certification required or will be considered in lieu of 500 for highly qualified candidates.
- CHST, CSP, or other advanced safety credentials preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, state/local regulations, and industry safety practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel frequently to job sites within the region.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
