Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers accurately, handling all retail sales transactions with precision and efficiency
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising to assist customers effectively and promote sales
- Handle cash drawer operations, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling daily sales
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store remains clean and inviting
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or providing assistance remotely
- Support supervising staff by guiding new team members on POS procedures and customer service standards when needed
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math calculations enhances efficiency in transaction processing
- Bilingual skills are a plus for serving a diverse customer base effectively
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging customers and collaborating with team members
- Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership development within the store environment
- Ability to handle cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and cash drawer management
