Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Field Service and Installation Technician to join our team in installing and repairing commercial automatic and manual doors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment, troubleshoot complex systems, and deliver exceptional customer service. As a Service and Installation Technician, you will be instrumental in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of equipment while providing top-tier support to clients and internal teams.
Duties
- Install test, and program automatic and manual door systems in facilities such as hospitals, retail stores, hotels, etc.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on automatic and manual doors, including electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical diagnostics issues using AAADM troubleshooting techniques.
- Document work using a standardized service ticket pdf.
- Collaborate with Sales Department on troubleshooting complex machinery issues and implementing improvements or upgrades for optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industrial safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, supervisors, and office personnel regarding ongoing repairs or quotations needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance environments with a focus on troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and hands-on experience with mechanical troubleshooting.
- Valid driver's license and eligibility for company vehicle insurance.
- Demonstrated ability to perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
- Excellent analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment failures quickly and accurately.
- Field service experience in maintenance or manufacturing settings with a focus on customer service delivery.
- Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Ability to pass certification class such as American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers training.
