UnityPoint Health - Eyerly Ball provides CCBHC walk-in access, outpatient, residential and community mental health services. Responsibilities:
The provider practices autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients’ psychiatric illnesses. Provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management and brief psychotherapy. Collaborates, consults and/or refers patients to a psychiatrist when appropriate to ensure quality patient care.

Weekday role, hours approx. 8:00am-5:00pm

Sees patients on a walk-in basis for urgent and non-urgent mental health care

Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve

Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care

Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment

Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Provides psychiatric evaluations

Provides diagnostic, prescriptive pharmacological treatments and follow-up medication management to patients

Demonstrates expertise in the interpretations of biopsychosocial data regarding client status and assumes accountability and responsibility for interventions prescribed

Treats crisis situations and emergencies, as needed
Qualifications:
- NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician Associate) or PMHNP (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)

Board Certified

Experience preferred

Providers willing to treat adults and children preferred

Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa

Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
