Job Summary
Performs clerical duties with accurate imaging and data entry of Voter Registration applications; communicating with voters and other Election Authorities on voting eligibility; ability to complete the voter card export process for new voter identification cards and mailing out same; update/process registration records and confirm/deny voter matches from the Illinois Voter Registration System (IVRS) within the timelines set by State Statute; process semiannually the USPS NCOA (National Change of Address) updates and bimonthly the ERIC (Electronic Registration Information Center) updates from the Illinois Voter Registration System (IVRS); execute the monthly updates to the records of voters who are recently deceased from the Illinois Vital Records System (IVRS); periodically may attend registration drives throughout the community; process all Provisional Ballots after each election and record them in the Illinois Voter Registration System (IVRS); process all Grace Period Registrations from Early Voting and Same Day Registrations taken on Election Day; taking and mailing out Vote by Mail requests; provide accurate and efficient customer service skills by phone; perform any and all duties assigned by County Clerk.
Minimum Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalency required. Strong/accurate data entry and proofing skill. Professional dress code required. Evening, weekend hours and strict blackout periods mandatory during election cycle. Valid Illinois driver’s license with statutory insurance. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. High proficiency in data management systems and office software
Salary Range
$43,543 (Starting Compensation) - $54,371 (Top of the range) (C9–D9) AFSCME Bargaining Unit Position https://willcounty.gov/open-and-participatory-government *The salary range for this position noted above is subject to an increase based on currently ongoing Collective Bargaining negotiations.
