The Fat Choy Food Server team member is responsible to ensure guests have exceptional dining experience providing incomparable service and courteous customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Interacts and promotes positive guest relations, greets guests and creates a fun, friendly atmosphere • Greet customers and serve patrons while maintaining company and departmental standards • Take beverage and food orders, enter them into the system in a timely fashion • Serve food and drinks, be attentive to drink refills and guest needs • Assign tables, seat guests, distribute menus and cater to large groups • Provides prompt, courteous and efficient service to all guests • Demonstrate exceptional customer service to guests • Make recommendations and memorize food menu • Process accurate cash, credit card and coupon transactions • Keep work area in compliance with health regulation and department procedures • Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules • Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas • Through knowledge of applicable company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any procedure that may be introduced in the future. • Look and identify potential safety hazards and notify proper supervisor or manager • Performs related work as required or assigned • All other duties assigned by management
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and other team members • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills • Knowledge of how to count and balance a register • Knowledge of Nevada food and health regulations • Ability to notice a potential problem, fix it and/or notify the proper personnel • Requires physical flexibility • Requires a neat and clean appearance and uniform, friendly attitude and demeanor for each shift • Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills • Must have proficient basic math skills – rapid currency counting. Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals • Requires ability to follow directions from immediate supervisor or other management • Dependable attendance and the ability to appear for work on time • Ability to multitask and get several assignments completed within a short time • Requires the ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures • Requires the ability to work extended hours, and when necessary, all shifts, weekends, holidays or special events • Possess a jovial and positive outlook
High School diploma or equivalent 18 years of age T.A.M. Card; Southern Nevada Health Card
Previous restaurant experience preferred (1 year); experience in customer service
