The cook is required to prepare a USDA approved breakfast, lunch, and snack daily for all children and staff in the center, maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen as well as assist in the inventory management and ordering process.
POSITION REQUIRES YOU TO:
- work full-time, Monday through Friday - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- pass a background check
- have basic math skills and computer knowledge
- have an understanding of nutrition, recipes and menus
- cook for large and small quantities of people
- read and calibrate a cooking thermometer
- complete paperwork
- pass health inspections and obtain the Serve Safe Certification
- do some heavy lifting and bending
- attend staff meetings and trainings
- be on time and professional
