Job Summary
Armored is looking for a skilled Deck Builder to take off, build, and repair decks that homeowners are proud to stand on. Whether you work solo or run a crew, you'll be our go-to expert for deck projects from start to finish. We're after someone who takes pride in clean, precise carpentry, communicates well with customers, and treats every job like it's on their own home.
Responsibilities
- Build decks to spec from designs, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
- Install wood/composite decking, railings, stairs, and related components
- Inspect and repair existing decks for safety and structural soundness
- Follow all local building codes and permit requirements
- Coordinate with other trades to keep the job moving
- Handle deck maintenance and cleaning as needed
- Provide friendly, professional customer service on-site
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized
Skills
- 5+ years experience in carpentry with a focus on deck building, framing, trim carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing, CNC fabrication techniques, and woodworking skills.
- Knowledge of construction estimating procedures and experience working on construction sites with heavy lifting requirements.
- Understanding of electrical experience related to fixture installation or remodeling projects is advantageous.
- Commitment to safety practices including power tool safety protocols and proper handling of materials such as stucco or caulking compounds.
- Excellent communication skills for interpreting technical documents like schematics or construction plans; ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Applicants must meet the legal driving age requirements and hold a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.
Pay and benefits will be specific to candidate's skills and experience.
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
