Position Details
Department: Level Nine Medical Pulmonary Unit
Hours per week: Full time, 36hrs per week, eligible for benefits
Shift: 12 hour shifts. Night shift Schedule. Weekend and holiday requirements
About the Unit
The Level 9 Inpatient Medical Unit is a dynamic 32 bed medical unit serving primarily pulmonary patient populations from birth to early adulthood. Clinically, we specialize in the areas of chronic ventilation, tracheostomy, asthma, cystic fibrosis, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, pulmonary hypertension and airway management.
This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who enjoy variety, collaboration, and continuous learning in a supportive pediatric environment.
Job Overview
As a Registered Nurse, you will:
- Deliver exceptional family-centered care to pediatric patients and their families
- Partner with patients, families, and caregivers as active members of the care team
- Provide compassionate, coordinated, evidence-based nursing care
- Educate patients, families, and staff to support positive outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality care
- Utilize critical-thinking and clinical decision-making skills in a dynamic clinical setting
Qualifications
Required Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
OR
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with agreement to obtain a BSN within three years of hire
Required Experience
- Minimum one year of nursing experience
Required Licensure & Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association with at least six months remaining before expiration upon hire
