Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other vehicle components
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical wiring diagrams interpretation
- Conduct vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and brake replacements to ensure optimal performance
- Repair advanced systems like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and vehicle transmission systems with precision and care
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs, welding tasks, and component replacements while adhering to safety standards
- Interpret automotive schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical issues accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process
Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration and vehicle alignment procedures
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and power tools for efficient troubleshooting and repairs
- Mechanical knowledge of engines, transmissions (including diesel engines), vehicle suspension systems, and powertrain components
- Ability to interpret complex automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately
- Strong customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and GM vehicle systems is a plus
- Skilled in welding techniques and general maintenance tasks to support comprehensive vehicle repairs
