The Rising Workplace is seeking a certified ergonomic specialist or certified ergonomist to provide weekly ergonomic services to an art studio, offices, and public works department in the greater Portland area.
Prior experience conducting ergonomic assessments, consultations, and training is a plus but is not required. Candidates with a background in Occupational Therapy are especially encouraged to apply, though applicants from Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, and other related fields are also welcome.
Applicants should submit a cover letter describing their relevant background, interest in ergonomics, and any applicable training or experience.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least one certification or credential in ergonomics
- Degree from an accredited university in a related field, such as Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, Human Factors, or Ergonomics
- Advanced training, credentials, or demonstrated interest in ergonomics
- Familiarity with ergonomic assessment tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with public speaking and leading group training sessions
- Ability to prepare clear individual and site assessment reports
- Knowledge of—or an interest in learning about—current research, resources, and products related to workplace ergonomics
Relevant professional experience is welcomed, but we are also open to candidates who are building their ergonomics experience, particularly occupational therapists whose clinical knowledge and skills translate well to workplace ergonomics.
15hrs/week @ $65/hr
Pay: $65.00 per hour
