Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive science curricula aligned with educational standards, including topics such as , organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology.
- Deliver engaging classroom lessons that adapt to diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds, ensuring all students are actively involved in their education.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and dissections to enhance practical understanding of scientific concepts while emphasizing safety protocols and proper laboratory procedures.
- Develop assessments, including standardized tests and formative evaluations, to monitor student progress and inform instructional strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum development, and educational technology integration to ensure cohesive teaching approaches across grade levels.
- Provide mentorship and academic advising to students, supporting their personal growth and educational goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral management while adhering to educational compliance regulations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of science disciplines such as biology (including genetics), chemistry (including organic chemistry), microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and physics (including differential equations).
- Experience designing curriculum implementation tailored to middle and high school levels with a focus on inquiry-based learning and research laboratory techniques.
- Skilled in classroom management strategies that foster a positive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to integrate educational technology tools effectively into lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and administrative staff.
- Demonstrated experience teaching science at the secondary level within private school settings; experience working with teenagers is preferred.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and instructional design best practices for secondary education.
- Ability to adapt lessons based on different learning styles while maintaining compliance with educational standards.
- Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, assessment development, research activities, and instructional documentation.
