Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a passion for training and developing staff to deliver exceptional customer service. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation while ensuring an efficient workflow in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed, ensuring quality ingredients are always available.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure adherence to recipes and standards.
- Manage the POS system for accurate order processing and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Conduct interviews for new kitchen staff, providing input on hiring decisions.
- Collaborate with the bar team to create cohesive menu offerings that enhance the dining experience.
- Address customer inquiries and feedback promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
Experience
- Proven experience in a kitchen management role or as an Assistant Manager in a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, sanitation practices, and kitchen equipment.
- Experience in training development, with a focus on enhancing team performance.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation and bartending is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Previous experience working in various capacities within the food industry is highly desirable.
