CNC Lathe Operator – Ranger Point Precision

Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned CNC Lathe Operator with a demonstrated ability to independently set up machines, optimize processes, and uphold rigorous quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end CNC lathe setup, including indicating jaws, selecting cutting tools, and programming offsets.
- Troubleshoot and refine CNC programs to maximize uptime and component accuracy.
- Execute routine preventive maintenance and collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Interpret engineering memos, material data sheets, and blueprints to ensure compliance with dimensional tolerances.
- Champion a zero-defect, zero-incident safety culture by adhering to company protocols.
- Mentor junior operators, share best practices, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration with engineering and quality assurance teams.
- Machining complex parts independently, consistently meeting or exceeding production targets.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience operating CNC lathes in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Proficient with G&M code; GD&T knowledge is a plus.
- Strong mathematical aptitude for calculating dimensions and tolerances.
- Proven blueprint reading skills and experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate CNC control interfaces.
- Excellent communication skills in English and strong problem-solving abilities.
- High school diploma or GED; CNC Machinist certification is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
- Familiar with a Haas DS-30Y lathe. Dual spindle, live tooling with bar Feeder.
- Mill Experience is a plus.
Work Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 10-hour shifts.
- Friday: Optional overtime based on production needs.
