Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our team. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide therapeutic massages to clients to promote relaxation, relieve muscle tension, and improve overall well-being. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques will be essential in delivering exceptional patient care. This is a part-time, weekend only position.
Responsibilities:
- Administer various massage techniques
- Apply appropriate pressure and adjust techniques to ensure client comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment notes
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and musculoskeletal system
- Strong understanding of acute pain management techniques
- Expertise in various massage modalities including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient service
- Strong problem-solving skills to address client concerns or issues effectively
Requirements:
- Valid Massage Therapist license/certification in the state of Massachusetts
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Massage Therapist (new graduates are welcome)
- Proficiency in using massage oils, lotions, and equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
