Summit Staffing is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, performing cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting complaint research and reporting. The Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy and availability for order fulfillment, working closely with management to maintain company standards for precision and efficiency.

- Pay Rate $20.43/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, auditing, and reconciliation.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, including shortages and overages, using appropriate adjustment codes.
- Participate in and coordinate periodic and annual inventory counts, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation of results.
- Organize, document, and maintain inventory control processes and procedures.
- Prepare and distribute inventory reports as required by management.
- Support training and development of inventory control procedures to ensure process consistency.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, sherry picker, reach trucks, or pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety, security, and company policies, using Stop Work Authority when necessary.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and promote a safe work environment.
- Regular and punctual attendance is essential; overtime may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years of inventory control experience, preferably in a warehouse or fulfillment setting.
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent related experience).
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners required.
- Proficiency in basic computer programs and data entry systems.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (forklift cherry picker.) required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience performing inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management software.
