Alexander Milne Developmental Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).

Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and personal assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Assist with meal planning, meal preparation, feeding assistance, and light housekeeping
- Administer or assist with medications according to agency policy (if applicable)
- Follow individualized care plans and document services accurately
- Monitor individuals for changes in physical health, behavior, or emotional well-being and report concerns promptly
- Support positive behavior strategies and encourage independence
- Assist with transportation to medical appointments, recreational activities, community outings, and daily errands
- Build positive relationships while promoting dignity, choice, and respect
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Complete required documentation and electronic records
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to lift, transfer, and support up to 75 pounds
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing quality care
Additional preferred qualifications:
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
- CPR & First Aid Certification
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD/I/DD), autism, behavioral health, or mental health needs
