The Service Department Greeter is the first point of contact for customers visiting the dealership’s service department. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, directing customer flow, assisting with initial service needs, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from arrival to handoff with service advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet customers as they arrive in the service drive.
- Identify customer needs and direct them to the appropriate service advisor or department personnel.
- Check customers in using dealership systems or intake forms as required.
- Communicate service wait times, appointment details, and general expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service drive area.
- Offer assistance with basic inquiries regarding services, amenities, and dealership operations.
- Coordinate with service advisors, porters, and technicians to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist with vehicle tagging, parking logistics, and customer flow management.
- Provide updates to waiting customers as directed by service advisors.
- Support customer satisfaction initiatives and help resolve minor issues or questions.
- Answer incoming calls or assist with light administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer service experience preferred; automotive experience a plus.
- Positive, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and comfort with dealership software (training provided).
- Able to stand for extended periods and work outdoors as needed.

Work Environment
This role primarily operates in the service drive area, which may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Weekend or holiday hours may be required based on the dealership schedule.
