Position Summary
The E & I Lead is responsible for assisting PECI with the planning and coordination of all on-site electrical and instrumentation construction activities which include the E & I subcontractor(s) scope. This role ensures the E & I subcontractor’s scope of work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, codes and quality standards. Experience with gas fired generator systems and overhead power distribution preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Planning and Coordination
· Participate in Client and PECI update meetings
· Coordinate with subcontractor, PECI and client for material delivery, storage and installation
· Review and monitor work plans, look ahead schedules, manpower loading and material requirements
Project Execution & Oversight
· Represent PECI in professional manner interfacing with team members, sub-contractors, and client operation teams to ensure execution is performed safe and timely
· Review project drawings, specifications, scope of work, and schedule to ensure constructability and execution readiness
· Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, vendor manuals, and applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).
· Verify subcontractor compliance with scope, specifications and manpower and advise and assist with E & I subcontractor’s adherence to compliance and schedule
· Stop any unsafe work practices and take corrective action as required
Quality Control
· Assist on RFI’s, work scope changes, material specifications and other job-related concerns per NEC, NFPA and other industry applicable code standards as required and resolve field issues and escalate when necessary
· Provide technical assistance with inspections, observe testing, and commissioning activities.

Scheduling & Reporting
· Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules for E & I scope.
· Receive and monitor installation progress reporting against project milestones and schedules and provide regular updates to PECI project management.
· Document and report daily activities, testing results and field issues and schedule concerns.
· Manage punch lists and ensure timely completion of required tasks
· Ensure job scope activities are completed and tested according to project design and specifications and ensure turnover documentation packages are complete
