Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and detail-oriented Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care or wound management to prevent infection
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Assist with medical documentation, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and physiology knowledge requirements
- Support patients in acute care environments like Level I Trauma Centers or ICU units, including emergency response procedures and critical care support
- Work with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs in community or inpatient settings
- Utilize EMR systems such as eClinicalWorks or Cerner efficiently to document patient information accurately
Experience
- Prior experience working in hospital medicine, medical-surgical units, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable
- Demonstrated proficiency in caring for geriatric populations in long-term care or assisted living facilities
- Experience with pediatric or neonatal (PICU) patient care is a plus
- Knowledge of infectious disease protocols, hospice care practices, or post-acute/rehabilitation settings is beneficial
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required
- Previous caregiving experience in home & community care environments or working with individuals with disabilities enhances your application
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is preferred
