Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-K Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. Duties
- Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including curriculum development tailored to preschool learners.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Foster early literacy and numeracy skills through engaging activities focused on reading readiness, basic math concepts, and language development.
- Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services by adapting instruction to meet diverse learning styles.
- Maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress, including assessments, standardized testing results, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe environment for all children.
- Communicate regularly with families about their child's development, milestones, and classroom activities to build strong home-school connections.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; Montessori or other specialized early childhood training is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices.
- Experience developing and implementing curriculum that incorporates literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and working with children with diverse needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and support staff.
- Previous experience in private schools or daycare centers enhances understanding of different educational environments.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws ensures compliance with legal requirements for child safety and welfare.
