Metro Eye Care is a busy ophthalmology and optometry practice with several offices in Bergen County. We are seeking hard-working and dedicated individuals to grow with our practice. Excellent patient service, a strong work ethic, and pride in your work will be important attributes, as you will be the face of the practice.
Your daily routine will encompass many tasks that can include, but are not limited to the following:
- Greeting patients as the face of the practice.
- Entering and verifying patient demographics, insurance, etc.
- Answering calls, confidently answering questions and directing people to the proper department.
- Schedule and/or reschedule patient appointments.
- Collect patient payments, such as copays, surgical fees and refractions fees.
- Communicating with patients, other staff and doctors.
- Communicating with insurance companies and patients to obtain patient referrals, authorizations and other information.
- Light filing, scanning, and other tasks to support other staff, patients and doctors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare or other related fields
- Proficient on the computer as our EHR and Practice Management systems are cloud based.
- Solid communication skills with patients, staff, and doctors.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility in your schedule. At least 1-2 Saturday shifts per month is required.
- Availability to work at 3 of the 4 locations in Bergen County is a must. Office locations include Paramus, Franklin Lakes, Fort Lee and Ridgewood.
