We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team and provide general support duties to the management and staff of the office. The right candidate will work closely with other technicians, doctors and patients to ensure that each patient receives the highest level of care. The Ophthalmic Technician is responsible for helping with various tasks including preparing examinations, ensuring that equipment is properly calibrated and sterilized, and assisting in the treatment of patients.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate must have experience in the field. The desired skill set should include but not limited to:
-Manual refractions and Retinoscopy
-Tonometry
-Topography
-Visual fields
- OCT'S
-Biometry
-Fundus Photography
-Patient work ups that include: Medical History, Visual Acuity, Pupil and Muscle assessment.
-Triage Patients.
-Refill Patients medications.
-Scribe.
-Assisting the Doctors with Minor office procedures.
