Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Paint Prep Employee to prepare surfaces and materials for painting and finishing. The ideal candidate will help ensure high-quality paint application by cleaning, sanding, masking, and inspecting products before they enter the paint process.
Responsibilities
- Clean, sand, grind, and prepare surfaces for painting
- Mask and protect areas not requiring paint
- Inspect parts and materials for defects or contamination
- Load and unload items from paint lines or workstations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist painters and production team members as needed
- Perform basic quality checks before and after preparation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in paint preparation, manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environments is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools, sanders, and other preparation equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to lift up to [weight] pounds and stand for extended periods
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
