Job Summary:
Responsible for any combination of operational technical duties which require a high degree of accuracy in one or more of the following functions: seat prototyping, production and testing; operating and maintaining machinery, tooling, and setting up equipment. Operate within key performance indicators and metrics to help foster a performance driven culture.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assist in the design and fabrication of fixtures as required. May fabricate parts necessary for build-up of test articles and prototyping.
- Minimize downtime, overtime, and establish ownership and responsibility for work content and accountability for performance.
- Carry out preventive maintenance of all machinery and equipment.
- Review all regulatory requirements applicable to each operation and perform duties within the regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all ZACS standards of quality and FAA regulations.
- Follow proper paperwork and documentation procedures.
- Comply with safety and company policies and use protective equipment as required.
- Build-up of complex assemblies for the purpose of prototyping, testing and/or customer viewings
- Work with Engineering to solve design discrepancies in early stages of development builds
- Work in a flexible environment/work on multiple projects
Secondary Duties:
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications:Minimum:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with a diverse range of materials (i.e., aluminum alloys, stainless steel alloys, engineering polymers, composites, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data
- Strong analytical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills and must be proficient with Microsoft Windows
- Read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Diverse tooling background
Preferred:
- Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent level of experience
- Experience working aircraft interior products environment
- SolidWorks Experience
- Simple assembly prototyping experience
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Subject to continual loud noises.
- Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods of time; climb steps, ladders and/or service stands.
- Must be able to wear and breathe through a full-face respirator.
- Must be able to safely work around hazardous chemicals, solvents, resins, and adhesives
