Project Manager Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee construction projects from preconstruction through completion. The Project Manager will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role plays a critical part in managing project documentation, monitoring schedules and costs, and maintaining strong communication among all project stakeholders to support successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage assigned construction projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout.
· Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
· Assist with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting to support successful project delivery.
· Manage project documentation including contracts, subcontracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project plans.
· Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying potential issues and communicating updates to leadership and clients.
· Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders, update construction schedules weekly.
· Assist with subcontractor coordination, scope development, and pricing review.
· Support the estimating and preconstruction process through review of drawings, specifications, writing S.O.W, and subcontractor input.
· Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and contract requirements.
· Coordinate with field teams to maintain project schedules and resolve construction issues as they arise.
· Manage the preparation and submission of monthly progress billings, ensuring all payment applications are complete and ready for submission by the 25th of each month.
· Foster positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project partners.
· Support the successful completion and closeout of projects including documentation and turnover.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
· Minimum 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects as a Project Manager.
· Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
· Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
· Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Project (or similar scheduling software), Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam.
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
· Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project closeout documentation.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
· Knowledge of California building codes, OSHA regulations, and construction safety practices.
· Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Compensation Range and Benefits.
$120,000 - $145,000 Annually. Compensation is offered based on work history, years of experience, professional achievements and other nondiscriminatory metrics and factors. This is a full-time role.
