Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant restaurant team! Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items including wine, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process sales transactions accurately, handle cash and credit card payments, and manage receipts with precision
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food, wine, spirits, and cocktail options based on guest preferences
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or upscale establishments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances guest interactions but is not mandatory
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy service hours while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Experience with wine knowledge, spirits, cocktail mixing, and upselling techniques
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and processing sales efficiently
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable; bartending or cocktail experience is a bonus
- Strong communication skills paired with a passion for hospitality and guest relations
