Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Network Engineer to join our innovative IT team. Responsibilities
- Design and deploy network infrastructure including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), and data center networks to optimize performance and security.
- Configure and support network hardware such as Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA), Meraki devices, and Juniper equipment.
- Manage and troubleshoot network protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, IPsec VPNs, and QoS to ensure reliable data transmission.
- Implement security measures using tools like Cisco ISE for identity management, PKI for encryption, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and firewall configurations to safeguard organizational assets.
- Monitor network performance using tools such as SolarWinds or PRTG; perform vulnerability assessments and conduct system troubleshooting to resolve issues swiftly.
- Support cloud security initiatives by integrating AWS, Azure, or VMware virtualization environments with existing network infrastructure.
- Collaborate on system design projects involving load balancing, high availability architectures, and network automation using scripting languages like Python or Bash.
Requirements
- Proven experience in computer networking with a strong understanding of LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and network switching concepts.
- Hands-on knowledge of Cisco IOS/ASA devices, Meraki management platforms, Juniper networks, and open-source operating systems such as Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian).
- Familiarity with VPN configuration including IPsec VPNs and remote access software; experience with firewall management and network security best practices.
- Proficiency in system administration tasks across Windows Server environments as well as UNIX/Linux systems; scripting skills in PowerShell or Shell Scripting are a plus.
- Ability to perform equipment troubleshooting and support network installation projects in data centers or enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as SAN storage solutions, LDAP/Active Directory integration, DHCP/DNS services, and GPO management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering troubleshooting support; experience with vulnerability assessment tools like Splunk or SolarWinds is desirable.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
